Grace is not embellished. She is interrupted.
Hand-applied diamond dust moves across the portrait like an act of vandalism, physically obscuring selected areas of the print. What appears to add value also removes information. The same material that catches the light prevents the image from being fully seen.
VANDALIZED GRACE extends the language of the Membrane works. In the original paintings, the image is buried and rewritten through successive layers of resin, sanding, varnish, and coded marks drawn in epoxy resin. Here, that process is compressed into a single intervention: Grace Kelly is partially erased with crystal, suspended between icon and disappearance.
Produced on French-made archival paper, every print is individually hand-finished with genuine crystal dust, known as diamond dust. Variations in its placement, texture, and density make each work distinct within the edition.
